SATO, Emmanuel College Kazo Kawempe in hygiene partnership

SATO, the makers of Sato Toilet pans have partnered with Emmanuel College Kazo- Kawempe to celebrate international women’s day and promote sanitation.
Timothy Kayondo, SATO Country Manager said they have decided to celebrate women’s day by partnering with Emmanuel College to give the school’s toilets a new look with SATO pans.

He said this is an opportunity to encourage students cleanliness in school.
“This year’s International Women’s Day theme is ‘Each for equal’ and as SATO are dedicated to provide an equal opportunity of safe sanitation to our young women,” Timothy Kayondo, SATO country manager said.
Sato Pans are put on Latrines and have an automatic opening and closing which eliminates flies from the the toilet because after one easing him or herself, it closes automatically which gives flies no chance to enter.
Timothy Kayondo added that Sato pans take away flies and smell and that the Technology is not expensive and it’s make toilets clean. Each pan costs UGX 15,000.
“Self closing helps to kill flies already inside and blocks new ones from entering. We are here to commemorate international women’s day by making clean toilets for the school,” Atukwasa Mike, SATO’s Marketing manager said.
Water For People Uganda, Country Director, Cate Zziwa Nimanya also attended the function and said partnering with SATO is an opportunity to see that sanitation in schools especially for girls is improved.
”I recommend each and every school in Uganda to take up this initiative and improve cleanliness in schools,” Nimanya said.
She called on students especially girls to stay focused and keep in school and have safe period.
 “You don’t have to fear when you are in your monthly period, it’s normal and you just have to know when and be safe in it,” She added.
The school management welcomed the initiative and praised SATO for considering them first.
