Sheema Municipality MP Hon. Kateshumbwa Dicksons has been elected Chairperson of the inaugural Roads Committee in Sheema District. This was during their first sitting yesterday. Hon. Kateshumbwa for strengthening oversight and accountability in the road sector in Sheema District.

“Today, I joined fellow Members of Parliament for the inaugural sitting of the Roads Committee, where we elected the committee leadership.
I was honoured to be nominated by Hon Adrine Katusiime Mwebesa alongside fellow nominees Hon. Jemimah, Hon Dr Eliodah Tumwesigye and Hon Ephraim Kamuntu represented by the Sheema District NRM Chairperson, Mr. Muhangi.
Our deliberations centered on strengthening oversight and accountability in the road sector. We tasked municipal, district and regional engineers to present comprehensive reports detailing completed, ongoing and planned road projects, as well as their respective work plans and accountability for public resources.
Effective oversight is essential to ensuring quality infrastructure, value for money, and improved service delivery.
