NWSC recognized as the best exhibitor
National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has been recognised as the best utilities and services exhibitor at this year’s Uganda International Trade Fair at UMA showgrounds. This was revealed as the President Yoweri Museveni officially opened this year’s fair that ends on Sunday.
“Our dear customers feel free to pass by and experience first hand customer care at the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) stall. On display are prepaid meter, Ggaba treatment model, waste water treatment, bio gas, mobile App, on spot billing and many more. Continue enjoying our services because you’re the reason as to why we exist,” NWSC posted.
In related development, following the recently completed rehabilitation and expansion work at Ggaba water works designed to add 50million litres of water per day to Kampala Service area, NWSC said there will be a 48hr planned shutdown at Nakasero Gunhill water reservoir this Thursday 6th to Friday 7th October 2016 to enable its engineers reconfigure associated pipelines and subsequently improve water supply in the City. The following areas will be affected: Kampala City Centre, Gayaza, Kanyanya, parts of Kyanja, Komamboga, parts of Bwaise and the surrounding areas. Customers are therefore advised to store enough water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a total plant shutdown. NWSC regrets any inconveniences caused.
