Iganga Woman MP Kaudha dies while giving birth
Iganga Woman MP Hon. Kaudha Hailat has passed on while giving birth. She died during child birth last night in Kampala.
The MP is said to have been rushed to Case Clinic in Kampala after developing complications before being transferred to Mulago Referral Hospital (Kawempe Extension) where she was pronounced dead.
She was 27, and this was her second child, the first one having been delivered on election day 18th February, last year.
It’s reported the lawmaker didn’t find any gynecologist on duty at Case Clinic.
Meanwhile the burial programme for departed Iganga Woman NRM MP Grace Kaudha Hailat, 27, has changed.
It had earlier reported that the deceased would be laid to rest today Saturday July 8th 2017.
However, following a meeting of NRM leaders in Iganga, it was decided that the burial takes place on Sunday.
This would allow President Museveni to grace the function.
“The funeral ceremony will be held at 4:00pm at Iganga Municipal Council Primary School and thereafter burial will take place at Magogo village,” said Walubi.
The deceased replaced Olivia Kabaale Kwagala. Parliament may be forced to hold a special session this weekend to mourn their fallen legislator.
She is the third MP in the 10th Parliament to die after Moroto Woman MP Anne Logiel and Toroma County MP Cyrus Amodoi. May the souls of the deceased Rest in Eternal Peace.
