‘I and Thomas Tayebwa shall serve the country deligently’ – Anita Among
Newly elected Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Annet Among has said she is ready to walk the path in the service of our country with her Deputy Speaker Hon. Thomas Tayebwa.
Speaking after she was elected the new speaker replacing the Late Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah, Hon. Anita gave praises to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
She lauded the members of Parliament for electing her.
In the same spirit, she congratulated Hon. Thomas Tayebwa who was elected her deputy. She pledged to perfect hand in hand with him for the good of the country.
“Praise be to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is with great honour and privilege that I stand before you to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to you for electing me to the Chair of Speaker of the 11th Parliament of the Republic of Uganda. In the same spirit I Congratulate my brother Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa upon your election to the office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Uganda. Together, we shall walk this path in the service of our Country,” Hon Anita Annet Among said.
