Uganda Liberal Teachers Union (ULITU) today hosted a High Level Delegation Meeting of their National Executive Committee at Nakasero, Kampala. The meeting was aimed at updating on the follow up to their petition to the President last month.

The petition was aimed at creating awareness about corruption at Teachers Funds.

The meeting was also attended by Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Director of Mobilization Hon. Micheal Mawanda who welcomed leaders of the Uganda Liberal Teachers Union on a courtesy call at the PLU Chairman’s Office in Nakasero.

Hon. Mawanda said their commitment and enthusiasm to partner with the Patriotic League of Uganda is inspiring. “They pledged full support as we strengthen our structures, mobilise communities and advance our shared patriotic vision,” Hon. Mawanda said.

The ULITU President Mutesasira Kaganizo said the meeting discussed a follow up of a Petition they wrote to H.E The President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on 20/07/2026 about corruption at Teacher’s Funds. Hon. Mawanda assured the members that action will be taken against those misusing Teacher’s Funds.
