Latest news hitting our ears have confirmed that Mr. Tumuhimbise Wicklif is contesting for Buhweju West Constituency Parliamentary seat in next year’s General Elections.
Youthful Wicklif who hails from Katinda Nyakishana in Buhweju West is the former President of Buhweju University Students Association (BUSA) and a former guild leader at Kyambogo University. He worked as a National mobiliser of NRM in all institutions of Higher learning.
He is currently the Chairperson Buhweju Caravan Youth foundation and recently like two weeks back, he was voted as the publicity secretary for Buhweju District Youth League.
Being a political scientist, Mr. Wicklif’s agenda is to champion education in the area by lobbying of scholarships especially the needy students, provision of markets since Buhweju people are producers, designing policies which can save farmers from fluctuation of tea prices, creating employment opportunities for the Youth in our mighty district and infrastructure development.
Hon. Wicklif is already on the ground mobilizing for support with his team and getting ready to battle incumbent Hon. Biraaro.
