Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, Hon. Hellen Namutamba laud organisation of Twegaite, celebrate Martyrs Day

First Deputy Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has extended her heartfelt gratitude to all the Basoga who made the journey and participated in the Twegaite International Convention 2025 in the United States.

She said their presence, unity, and commitment to their culture and development are deeply appreciated.

“I commend each of you for your resilience and dedication throughout the month of May. May the new month of June bring peace, renewed strength, and abundant blessings to all Basoga, both at home and abroad. To those who attended the Martyrs Day celebrations on the 3rd of June, I wish you safe travels and a spiritually fulfilling experience. May this sacred day inspire us all to continue walking in faith and unity. Together, we shall continue building a stronger and more vibrant Busoga,” Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga said.

In related development, Hon. Hellen Namutamba, the Minister of Tourism, Busoga Kingdom said they closed the chapter of May and step into the new month of June, she extends her heartfelt appreciation to all the people of Busoga for their resilience, unity, and unwavering spirit and congratulated them on the successful Twegaite International Convention 2025. May has been a month of reflection, progress, and continued dedication to our heritage and shared values.

“I wish each of you a blessed and prosperous month of June. Let it be filled with renewed hope, good health, and opportunities for growth in all your endeavors. To all those that participated in the Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations, may your journey be safe and your experience deeply enriching. Let us continue to honor our faith, culture, and traditions with dignity and pride. Together, as Basoga, let us uphold the beauty of our kingdom and work hand in hand towards a brighter, united future,” Hon. Hellen said.
