Kampala: A heated online exchange has erupted between youth advocate Nyanzi Martin Luther, also known as Mr. Apex, and Lubega Benjamin Harrison, the son of Busiro East MP Medard Lubega Ssegona.
The clash began after Harrison publicly criticized Nyanzi for previously commenting on his father’s political stance. Harrison stated, “It’s true that an entrepreneur can’t decide for the country, as my father once said.” He went on to caution Nyanzi, saying, “We minors don’t know this game of politics and I request Luther to stop commenting on my father. Otherwise, he won’t manage this online battle. He might be backed by NUP foot soldiers, but they won’t manage.”
Harrison was responding to Nyanzi’s earlier critique of MP Ssegona’s leadership and involvement in youth issues, which had drawn attention in political circles.

In response, Nyanzi fired back directly. “You, the Lubega Benjamin Harrison — young Ssegona — you even have differences with your dad. You think you can lead Uganda as you once told journalists at your school. That’s why they never ran your story — because you’re stupid,” Nyanzi said.
He continued, “We are discussing national issues and you’re coming out to comment. Stay in your lane as Head Prefect. Leave presidential matters alone because you can’t manage. And your father is no longer even active in Parliament — Ssegona, wait and see.”

While MP Ssegona has not issued a statement, the spat has stirred reaction on social media, with some critics accusing both parties of dragging politics into personal disputes. Others view it as part of the growing tension among Uganda’s politically engaged youth.
