After a year at the helm of news broadcast and anchoring, Joyce Bagala has been relieved of her duties from Kamwokya based Next Media’s NBS Television.
This follows a directive from the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) to suspend all officers at various media houses who were in charge of broadcasts the day Hon. Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was summoned to the CID headquarters.
Under Joyce’s reign, particular anchors have resigned and this has cost the station valuable resources. This also led the station to swing into action against her.
NBS TV is not the only television station that has lost a significant member, Joel Ssenyonyi, the outspoken NTV anchor laid down his anchoring tools and bid farewell to the Serena based station. NTV was one of the televisions directed to suspend officers. However his resignation is not linked to UCC directive.
NBS Television is in search of a replacement for Bagala but they are yet to land onto one. Watch the space!!
