At the Semei Kakungulu Museum in Mbale, GACS riders planted a tree alongside Racheal Kakungulu of the Museum and Mr Sikoyi of the Mt. Elgon Tree Growing Initiative.
More than a century ago, Semei Kakungulu mobilised and, at times, compelled, communities in Eastern Uganda to plant trees, particularly Mvule.

Many of those trees became lasting landmarks across the region and remain part of his environmental legacy today. Today, GACS returned to that story- not simply to remember what was planted in the past, but to plant for the future.
