Umeme boss Selestino Babungi commissions street lighting in Nakulabye
The Managing Director of Umeme Mr. Selestino Babungi has said it’s an honour for him to commission a pilot street lighting in Nakulabye.
He commissioned a pilot Street Lighting Project in Nakulabye alongside the Resident City Commissioner Herbert Anderson Burora, Lubaga Division Mayor and the area leadership.
The project is part of Umeme Limited’s community-based initiative, Pamoja.
Pamoja is a multifaceted initiative hinged on tenets of shared value—focusing on programs that build economically stronger, empowered or environmentally safe communities.
“We pride in growing together with the communities in which we operate. I thank our partners, the community and the Umeme Limited team that is steering this project,” Selestino Babungi said.
