Ugandan Fashion designer opens shop in Berlin

Ugandan Fashion Designer, Joannah Kebirungi Menke, on 30th March 2019, officially opened her first shop located at Kietz 18, 12557, Berlin.

Ms Menke, who founded her own fashion label “Joray Fashions” in 2006 in Mbarara, Uganda and later on moved to Berlin, Germany, has been operating a very successful online shop offering elegant fashion in African and classic fabrics.

The opening of the shop by Ms Menke is an important milestone in her life as a fashionista and it will enable her showcase her talent, that according to her website: www.joray-fashions.de, “combines African fabrics and elegant designs into unique fashions, invigorating the fashion world with intense colours and new patterns.”

Ms Menke, in an interview with her Embassy guests at the official launch, said that opening a physical shop would enable her live her passion and that she looked forward to selling her fashion creations and wonderful accessories and having fashion banter with her customers.

The official opening of the shop ended with an impressive fashion show of Ms Menke’s line of clothing and accessories that captivated her audience because of the details and craftsmanship of every single piece.
