“Consumers for a long time have said to us, they love Uganda Waragi, it has been part of their lives for a very long time, and it needs to continue to be relevant now. With so many new spirit brands on the market, it is important that as market leaders, we pioneer into new territories, renovate, innovate and lead from the front. The recently launched Uganda Waragi Flavours (Coconut and Coffee) are another example of this,” she said. In what is being dubbed the biggest campaign in the history of Uganda Waragi, a yearlong celebration campaign has been planned. “The new campaign is inspired by The Spirit of Uganda and hence will feature the hash tag #SOUG. By celebrating the greatness of our nation’s spirit we hope to encourage Ugandans to release their vibrant spirit for the world to see. With this new iconic bottle we wanted to create a symbol of national pride that embodies the great spirit of Ugandans, with a modern look to carry our spirit into the next 50 years,” said Rhona Namanya, Brand manager of Uganda Waragi.
