Tycoon Kavuya spends UGX 937m to fly in family from the world’s deadliest COVID-19 hit nation US

The Government has allowed city tycoon Ben Kavuya to fly in his family from USA despite Presidential directives that no passengers should go out or come in the country.

The tycoon’s family will be quarantined at the luxurious Legacy Courts on plot 4 Younger Avenue, Bugolobi.

The premises have been fully inspected by the team from the Ministry of Health and permitted to carry out the exercise.

The Ministry directed that a special vehicle be parked at the air port and the tree family members must drive themselves to the quarantine place and stay with the vehicle for 14 days.

The Ministry of Health team will the test the three people for COVID-19.

The three members are Kavuya Barbara, Blanche Kibaju and Isaiah Tiba Byabashaija and supposed to be quarantined upon arrival in Uganda.

US is the world’s epicenter of the deadly COVID-19 caused by Coronavirus with 1.45m confirmed cases with 86,571 deaths and 253,000 recoveries.

Aviation experts told this website that it can cost you close to or less than $250,000 (Approximately UGX 937, 500,000) to charter a plane from US to Uganda depending on the size and the airline you want to use.

Kavuya is the proprietor of Global Capital Saving company Limited. His business deals in money lending and real estate.

He has set up a number of projects under Legacy CSR’s programmes to make sure he makes a difference in society and is among the richest Ugandans.
