The successful music journey of Kirya Kuti

South Africa’s Cape Town based saxophonist and steel pan player, Kirya Kuti is thriving in his music career.
The Ugandan born who moved to Cape Town at an early age has been on both local and international stages namely; El escale music festival in France with Native Young,
Blankets and Wines in Kampala 2016,
Saljah festival in Dubai, The lights festival in Cape Town with Frank Pacco Project,
Pinelands Jazz festival South Africa featuring Kirya Kuti project.
In 1999, he featured in Germany , Denmark and Austria at the Emil and the detective.
In July 2016, he was featured at Durban show with Vibrations and again in July 2017 Durban with French man DJ Rene.
Well known for his musical and unique sound combining jazz, fusion, highlife and pop to bring his own unique Kirya Kuti sound.
In 2010, Kirya released the Mosquito Yellow Fever album then in 2015, he released the album titled Architect in Cape Town with the Kirya Kuti project .
This year, he is working on a new collaboration which is to be revealed soon. He is also a nominee in 2019 Starqt Awards in South Africa in the category of Remarkable Artist. Watch the space!!!
