Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga has announced that starting this Tuesday, all Members of Parliament will under mass COVID-19 testing.
The news comes after a lawmaker tested positive for the Coronavirus virus at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that Kiryandongo Woman MP, Helen Kahunde is the MP who tested positive for the deadly virus and is  admitted at Mulago Referral Hospital.

“Hon Kahunde felt unwell before volunteering to take a test at Mulago where she is currently admitted,” said a close associate of the MP.

If confirmed, Kahunde will be the first Ugandan lawmaker to test positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic in Uganda in March this year.
