Soroti Women’s Hospital which will mainly handle fistula and other related diseases was on Friday officially launched. The speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga presided over the launch and was joined by other members of parliament including Usuk County MP Hon. Peter Ogwang.
Hon Peter Ogwang said the hospital will help in fight against the disease which has been on the increase. He said 1900 new cases of fistula are registered every year in the country.
“Today, we joined Rt Hon Speaker Rebecca Kadaga for the launch of Soroti Women’s Hospital that will mainly handle fistula and other related diseases. Apparently, about 1,900 new cases of fistula are registered every year in the country,” Peter tweeted after the launch.
The speaker said the hospital will help in lowering the problem of the disease especially in women.
