Pearl of Africa Fashion Awards (PAFA) are back, set for December

The Pearl Of Africa Fashion Awards (PAFA) are back for the second year running. The second edition is slated for December 2018. The awards are geared towards recognizing talent beyond Kampala and the central region.

After last year’s successful edition at Freedom city the awards are back. Last year the awards had 72 categories. The PAFA is yet allow nomination submissions but according to the organisers will be released in October and nomination list in November.

Pearl of Africa Fashion Awards founder and CEO, Yoweri Munamasaka said that this year’s event will encourage new entrants to the fashion industry, but also seek to provide a platform for young, unemployed youth to get jobs in the industry.

Last year there was cash and other prizes unveiled at the nomination gala, but this time around the country should await for a mega prize and surprise come the 15th of December 2018’he concluded.
