The Committee on Natural Resources and Environment has directed the Ministry of Water and Environment to submit a comprehensive waste management plan, a catalogue of the country’s wetlands and forest reserves.
The committee chaired by Hon. Dan Kimosho (Kazo County MP) made the directive while meeting the State Minister for Environment, Hon. Beatrice Anywar.
The committee wants the National Water and Sewerage Corporation, National Environment Management Authority and other agencies under the ministry to submit status reports on ongoing projects and programmes under the sector.
