National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Managing Director, Eng Silver Mugisha has said the water body’s extension works are on course and by the end of the year, more areas will have access to safe and clean water supply.

He said this over the weekend during Team bonding/Motivation exercise where he together with the Director engineering services Eng Alex Gisagara and Kampala water General Manager appreciated the hard work and tireless efforts of Kampala water network engineers to improve supply reliability in the city.

Speaking at the event, the MD assured NWSC customers in Kampala that various interventions and projects are ongoing to improve supply reliability in the city. “We assure our dear customers that we shall have a much bigger picture and more access to services by the end of this year when most projects are done” he added.


Mr Mugisha further shared the ongoing plans to extend water to Nsangi, construction of the new Katosi water works moving water through bulk transmission lines from Nsumba, Mukono, Sonde and add more water to Kampala service area on top of the ongoing plant refurbishment works at Ggaba water works to stabilize supply along Entebbe road, Seguku, Namasuba, Zaana, Nfufu, Seguku, Mutundwe, Nalumunye, Nameere, Kiteezi, Kasangati, Gayaza, Lubya, Rubaga, Kyengera and the surrounding areas among many others.
