NWSC explains reduced water pressure in Bushenyi
National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has explained the reasons behind low water pressure in Bushenyi, Ishaka, Kabwohe and surrounding areas. The current low pressure is due to prolonged dry spell in the areas above. This has seen reduced water levels at Nyaruzinga Water source. NWSC to solve the problem is construct new water project at Kitagata which was launched on August 12th.
“We regret to inform our dear customers in Ishaka, Bushenyi, Kabwohe and the surrounding areas that the current low water pressure/no water situation is due to the prolonged dry spell in Bushenyi that has reduced the water levels at Nyaruzinga water source(water works). To solve this problem we have started work for the new Kitagata water project. This will help address this issue in the coming seasons. We officially launched the Project on Thursday August 12. Work should be complete by August 2017.
For now we are working on various water interventions including equitable rationing schedules to serve our people. Please use water sparingly,” NWSC posted.
