National Unity Platform (NUP) youth leaders from Kampala and Wakiso have conducted a comprehensive health sensitization, socialization, and mobilization initiative over the past three months through recreation and health camps, which concluded with a program on World AIDS Day with a sports tournament.
Makindye Ssabagabo Youth Football team emerged as champions, followed by Kampala Central and Entebbe Municipality in the youth fight against HIV/ AIDS tournament.
“I wish to extend heartfelt appreciation to all leaders who consistently stand by us the young, adults, and especially to our President H.E Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu, whose vision motivates us to achieve more,” Ms Namutyaba Sylvia, the chief organizer and the secretary Youth Buganda Kingdom said.
There was free HIV testing and counseling as well as free tests for other diseases like syphilis, TB, and others.
Kira Municipality MP hopeful Mr. Jimmy Lukwago also graced the function and donated a cow. He told the youth to always participate in productive activities which will foster their careers.
Ms Namutyaba Sylvia, the chief organizer is set to contest for Wakiso District Woman MP seat in 2026.
