Kira Young Foundation (KYF) Founder and CEO Lukwago Jimmy aka Kira Young is living his dream life after recovering from political losses.
After he was narrowly defeated in 2021 by Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, he came back in 2026 but he was denied a flag bearer by NUP for Kira Municipality MP seat.
This was a blessing in disguise for the now real estate guru. When he failed to get the flag, he chilled politics and concentrated on his real estate business which is now thriving.
Now on vacation in Egypt, Turkey and Spain, Lukwago hit back at politics. As he shared his photos on vacation with his wife, he had this to say ‘Life Without Politics Is Fantastic’.

Lukwago Jimmy, a real estate guru who recently contested for Kira Municipality MP seat, made a cash contribution of UGX 2m as Kabaka’s bounty commonly known as “Makula”.

Kira Young FC is set for a return, we can confirm. The latest information on our desk has it that Kira Young Foundation (KYF) CEO Lukwago Jimmy is set to revamp his football club Kira Young FC.
Mr. Lukwago Jimmy told this website that with the likely departure of Moses Magogo from FUFA after his wife Hon. Anita Annet Among ‘s Parliamentary Scandal, he will revamp Kira Young FC if Magogo leaves Ugandan football management.

Lukwago who was the CEO and founder of the club quit because he felt the football management in Uganda under Hon. Magogo was not up to the standard of the game.

Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda from Kira Municipality MP seat but it didn’t go as planned. The famous Kira businessman was all set and ready until the party (National Unity Platform) he has loved and sacrificed for so long decided against giving him the flag bearer slot and opted for the now current Kira Municipality MP Hon. George Musisi.
Of course Mr. Lukwago had the capacity to run as an independent and win but he opted to remain loyal to his party like he had always although top management defies his loyalty for the National Unity Platform (NUP) party.

The denial of ticket to Lukwago was a blessing in disguise for the real estate dealer who took it easy and headed to do what he knows best ‘The Real Estate business’.

If you are close to Lukwago Jimmy or you have known him for some good years, you can easily tell how loyal he is to the National Unity Platform (NUP). The man has done it all, the man has sacrificed his all for the party but still the NUP top management has doubts over his loyalty to them. He has been bragged an NRM spy, he has been labeled working for the state but Lukwago Jimmy is none of those. Actually he is one of the most loyal members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party.

Mr. Lukwago Jimmy still maintains and hopes to represent Kira Municipality on the floor of Parliament in future. He said he will do it whether under NUP or not but his dream is represent the people of Kira Municipality in the legislative Assembly and he must fulfill it.

Despite not holding any mandate in politics and management, Lukwago Jimmy has said he will continue doing community work for the people of Kira Municipality under his Kira Young Foundation (KYF). Through this foundation, he reaches out to the needy and takes part in community development like supporting religious institutions, Educational institutions and several other community work. The newly elected Kira Municipality MP, Hon. George Musisi, yesterday took the oath of office to represent Kira Municipality in the 12th Parliament. After his oath, he said he was grateful to the people of Kira Municipality for trusting with the mandate to serve them.
He also said he is grateful to his NUP party President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine as well as the NUP party as a whole. He promised to deliver to his expectations to the people of Kira Municipality and the entire country. He thanked the Almighty God for the opportunity of leadership.
“This afternoon I was duly sworn in as Member of Parliament for Kira Municipality in the 12th Parliament. Very grateful to the people of Kira, My President HE Bobi Wine and party NUP party and more importantly Almighty God. May the struggle for a free Uganda continue,” Hon. George Musisi said yesterday after swearing in.
The National resistance Movement (NRM)is set to improve in its numbers of MPs 2026 onwards unless the opposition fastens its belt by building cohesion.
Basing on the recent reports and analysis of the 2021-2026 term, the NRM has not only proved much more stronger around the country but has also made significant gains in Buganda and urban areas which were predominantly for the opposition.
Notwithstanding the fact that the 12th parliament is typically dominated by NRM party with membership of MPs well over 334, new enchantments in urban areas and promising prospects cannot go unnoticed.
In Kampala City fir example the victory of Hajjat Minsa Kabanda (NRM) in Kampala Central where she trounced NUPs Secretary General, Lewis Rubongoya was a better display of NRM strength.

Kawempe South where Madinah Nsereko Ntale ( NRM) was declared winner.
In Nakawa East. Fred Ruhindi (NRM) won with flying colours against NUPs Mufumbiro.
The remaining constituencies went to NUP but the fact that NRM penetrated its way in the opposition strong hold speaks volume.

Similar NRM emerging strength was seen Wakiso District where Apio Kanan( NRM) won in Busiro South while Shaka Bashaija (NRM) wrestled Entebbe municipality from NUP.

In Kira Municipality, Hon. George Musisi (NUP) beat incumbent Hon Ssemujju Nganda of PFF but analyst attribute this to the NRM underdog, Daniel Kananura who ate much into Nganda’s supporters and fan base.
This new entrant who had the support of both PLU and NRM was so innovative in his strategy that the electorates got torne between the three contenders.
In fact even Nganda knew this and that’s why he never contested the results. Had the NRM’s Kananura been declared winner its likely that Nganda would reject the results.
That’s why some NRM supporters almost wanted their candidate Kananura to petition the results because to them the battle was between NRM and PFF.

National Unity Platform (NUP) flag bearer for Kira Municipality MP seat 2026, Hon. George Musisi, the new kid in Kira Municipality politics has swept away the incumbent and ‘unshakable’ Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda after 15 years at the helm of Kira Municipality MP seat.
Unknown in the politics Kira Municipality, the MP elect for Kira Municipality, Hon. George Musisi, slowly moved area to area under the Umbrella wave and did what many had failed to do in the last fifteen years to defeat Hon. Ssemujju.
Mr. Musisi who doubles as the lawyer for the National Unity Platform (NUP) was a surprise pick for the seat but when he was picked instead of Jimmy Lukwago aka Kira Young, he hit the ground work mobilizing for support and finally he has delivered NUP seat.

Hon. Musisi wants to see effective leadership in the Municipality that’s service oriented and accountable to the people.

He wants to see effective and accountable leadership in Kira Municipality. Hon. George Musisi will then head to Kasokoso on Tuesday and Wednesday then Kiganda Zone on Thursday.
