Naganza Eric aka Sama talks about dancing ahead of Break-Fast Jam Festival

The seventh edition of Break-Fast Jam is slated for this coming weekend on 18th and 19th November at YMCA, Wandegeya. The show will feature a number of dancers from across the world. We talked to Eric Sama, a celebrated dancer about the event.

One of Uganda’s most celebrated dancers Naganza Eric popularly known by his stage name as Sama has said he expects a fun filled event over the weekend during the Break-Fast Jam festival. Speaking to www.showbizuganda.com, Sama said he expects a number of dance strokes from hip hop, rock, popping, traditional, break dance and other dance types from different countries across the world.

Sama said it is great to have such festival because different dancers get to meet dancers on a different level and different competitions. “It is a great experience because we get to meet different artists where we have the chance to guide each other. It inspires other people to do such,” he added.

“People should expect great performers from Uganda showcasing different styles. It is going to be interesting with one person smoking seven people,” Sama said.

On the Ugandan dance industry, Sama said it is growing and definitely on another level. “This is the seventh anniversary of Break-Fast Jam and this shows that the industry has gone to another level. Nine years ago when I started, it was still slow but we have on the move now. From such gig, people have managed to meet different people with different styles like Afro horse, and we have managed to get commercial gigs all because of such festival,” he concluded.

“Please let’s be at YMCA Wandegeya on Break-Fast Jam battles on 18th and 19th this month. The entrance fee is 10000, And I’m going to be in one on one battle,” Sama said.
