Members of Parliament (MPs) from Parliamentary Committee on Statutory Authorities and State Enterprise (COSASE) on Friday visited and assessed National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) ongoing works on Shs 66 billion Arua Water and Sanitation Project. The MPs praised the work done so far at the site and were happy with NWSC in its effort to provide clean and safe water to every Ugandan.

The project when complete will serve over 600,000 people in Arua with the first ever sewerage treatment plan in the region.

Giving feedback, the MPs appreciated the NWSC state holder management model. “We are happy that NWSC is working with Arua area leaders and the people of Arua. Working together is the way to go,” Hon Kasibante Moses.

The project will be completed by the end of 2017. The COSASE committee members planted trees around Giligili water reservoir to make the environment greener.
