Ministry of Health launches HIV self test kit
The Minister of Health Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng and her ministry have today launched HIV self test kit.
The minister said the kit will ease access to individual HIV results any time, anywhere, alone or with any one you may be comfortable with.
The kits will be available for free in government health facilities and on sale in private pharmacies.

“We have officially launched the HIV self test kit earlier today. The kits will ease your access to your HIV results any time, anywhere, alone or with any one you may be comfortable with. The kits will be available for free in our health facilities and on sale in private pharmacies.
Statistics show that about 14% of people that live with HIV/AIDS don’t know their status. These are exposed to serious health risks as they miss out on required support and health care, when there is still time. 88% of patients on treatment have got their viral load suppressed,” Dr. Jane said.
