Maxi Priest promises his best on Saturday at the 9th Annual Nile Gold Jazz and Soul safari

Reggae superstar Maxi Priest is in town already and has reserved his energy for Saturday at The 9th Annual Nile Gold Jazz and Soul Safari. Addressing Press at Sheraton Kampala Hotel today, Maxi said he is delighted to be in Uganda and has promised Ugandans his best performance come Saturday 8th October at Lugogo Cricket Oval.


Internationally recognized Reggae Superstar Maxi Priest who landed in the country last evening is the headlining artiste at the annual event alongside Saxophonist Jackiem Joyner and Trumpeter Lin Rountree a.k.a The Soul-Trumpeter, arrived with a big entourage comprising band members, members of his management team and personal security.


Jazz Safari boss Tshaka Mayanja said all is set for the event, the biggest in Kampala this weekend.

The highly anticipated concert to be held at Lugogo Cricket Oval for the first time is expected to draw a record crowd this time round given the bigger venue. The concert is sponsored by Nile Gold, 106.1 Jazz FM, Sheraton Kampala Hotel to mention but a few. Tickets are on sale at 130,000 UGX with Platinum at 250,000 UGX.
