Kitabi Catholic Parish to hold centenary celebrations

Kitabi Catholic Parish, the fourth oldest Parish in Mbarara Archdiocese will on June 29th 2019 celebrate 100 years since it was founded by the White Fathers, on 2nd October 1919.  
The celebrations are to be presided over by Mbarara Archbishop, His Grace Paul K. Bakyenga, with H.E President Yoweri K. Museveni as the Chief Guest.
On the same day, there will be commissioning  of the renovated 2,000-seater church, His Grace Paul K. Bakyenga’s 30th Episcopal and 75th Birthday celebrations, the ordination of 3 deacons to priesthood and the official unveiling of the proposed Spiritual Retreat and Conference Centre.
The theme of the celebrations: “You are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church” (Mathew 16:18)
While addressing the Press conference on Friday 19th May, Archbishop Bakyenga called on the general public to turn up in big numbers for the celebrations.
“You are all invited to come and witness what the Lord has done for Kitabi in 100 years.. be part of this centenary celebrations,” Muhereza Kyamutetera said.
