The State Minister for Refugees Relief and Disaster Preparedness who also doubles as Kitgum District Woman MP, Hon. Lillian Aber, has chaired Day Two of the Technical Workshop for Members of Parliament on Refugee Protection and Durable Solutions in Uganda at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel under the IGAD Programme.

The workshop was aimed at strengthening Parliament’s capacity to champion policies and legislation that protect refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities while advancing durable solutions across Uganda.

The Minister said the discussions from the workshop were very positive and promising a bright future for both parties involved.
