King Mswati III hosts Kyabazinga at Special Royal Banquet at his Ludzidzini Royal Palace

King Mswati III the Ingwenyama (King) of Eswatini and head of Swazi Royal Family, has hosted the Isebantu Kyabazinga (King) of Busoga Kingdom, His Majesty William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV for a special dinner.

The Royal Banquet was hosted at the Ludzidzini Royal Palace on the evening of July 28th, 2024 in Lobamba.

At the special dinner, King Mswat III was accompanied by Indlovukati (Queen Mother) Mantfombi, three Princes and Princesses, Prime Minister in charge of Traditional Affairs, some of his cabinet Ministers and Members of Parliament.

Kyabazinga and his delegation were clad in traditional attire of a white Tonic (Kanzu) and coat for men and in Gomesi for women.

His delegation included Busoga Kingdom’s 2nd deputy Prime Minister Owek. Alhaj Osman Ahmed Noor, Arnold Nadiope a Prince and elder brother to Kyabazinga, Minister for Kyabazinga Affairs Owek. Yudaya Babirye, Minister of Culture and head of clans’ council in Busoga Owek. Richard Mafumo, Finance State Minister Owek. Ivan Kiirya, Prince Wilson Nadiope and Andrew Kawanguzi.

Others present at the Banquet were the Honorary Consul of Eswatini in Uganda Quillino Bamwine and the Honorary Consul of Uganda in Eswatini Tobias Kamugisha.

After receiving the Kyabazinga at the Palace, King Mswati III led him and his delegation at the venue where various traditional dancing groups performed different traditional dances, including the famous Ingadla dance.

The two Kings later exchanged gifts and other pleasantries which visibly pleased their majesties.
