Over the weekend, Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa officially handed over to parishioners the nearly completed St. Karoli Lwanga Kigarama Catholic Church in Kigarama, Bitereko, Ruhinda North in Mitooma District.

The event was marked by a mass of thanksgiving, led by Archbishop Lambert Bainomugisha of the Mbarara Archdiocese.

The magnificent Church is estimated to have cost UGX 2.7bn.

Excited from the successful function, The Deputy Speaker on Monday took to his social media to applaud his friends for attending the event and for supporting during the project.

He shared photos with Kampala’s business gurus including Dr. Sudhir Rupaleria, Godfrey Kirumira, Hamis Kiggundu and many others.

“To my friends from near and far, thank you for gracing our function. Blessings only. Thank you my lovely people for showing H.E Kaguta Museveni the love,” he shared on X.

He also applauded President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for joining his dad as he celebrated his 80th birthday.

“I will forever be indebted to you Mzee Kaguta Museveni for honoring my Dad and family as he celebrated his 80th birthday. Singing for and cutting the birthday cake with him put an everlasting smile on his face. May God reward you abundantly,” he shared.
