Kampala’s revelers were on Saturday treated to another fun-filled bus ride as the Johnnie Walker Party Bus returned. The Party Bus is a monthly merry trip around Kampala, which features on-the-bus DJs and stopovers at different bars around town.
Dubbed “Party on the Wheels”, the joy ride gave the city’s party people who had secured a seat on the bus, an experience they will remember for a long time. With DJ Fem and DJ Simples keeping everyone on their feet, the partying passengers were treated to an evening of enjoyment from their first stop at Guvnor, from where they headed to the Sky Lounge rooftop in Kisementi for a sensational live performance by vocalist, Body of body.
The revelers then headed to Panamera Bar in Kololo where they took pictures and later Fusion Auto Spa in Munyonyo for the silent disco, then back to Guvnor to wind up the night.
At every stop, the passengers were entertained at a privately set up Johnnie Walker lounge where cocktails made from Johnnie Walker black label flowed in abundance.
On or off the Party Bus, the partiers danced all through, enjoying treats in specially set up Johnnie Walker lounges at each of the bars they stopped.
According to the UBL Head of Whisky, Annette Nakiyaga, the Johnnie Walker Party Bus is an exciting event that will bring together Kampala’s socialites, media personalities and party goers once every month, taking them to four different hangouts around the city for each outing.
“With the Johnnie Walker Party Bus, we want to transform the way people in Kampala party. Our party passengers should be sure to enjoy the ultimate Johnnie Walker experience and dance to the best music from the hottest DJs in town” she said.
Organised by Uganda Breweries (UBL) and House of DJs, the Johnnie Walker Party Bus hit the road in mid-October. Since its launch it has become one of the most sought-after party experiences. To get on the Party Bus, revelers are required to purchase Johnnie Walker in participating bars.
