Jubilation as Dokolo joins big NWSC Family
People in Dokolo town and the whole district will never forget International Women’s Day of March 2017 as it is day, the district joined the ever expanding National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) family.
President Yoweri Museveni commissioned the water works on Tuesday before presiding over the Women’s Day celebrations. NWSC is committed to continuous improvement of infrastructure as a way of expanding water to serve the entire nation.
“Dokolo town, welcome to the big water family. We commit to continuous improvement and expansion of water infrastructure to serve more people in Dokolo and the surrounding areas,” NWSC posted.
Meanwhile Kinkizi West MP Hon James Kaberuka spoke at the NWSC West and South Western two-day regional performance evaluation workshop today at Kigezi Forest Cottages Kanungu.
“The only stories you would hear about Kanungu were about Kibwetere infamous incident. Institutions like NWSC are enhancing development in the area. We are happy with NWSC for the ongoing aggressive expansions to improve access to clean and safe water in Kanungu, Kihihi and the surrounding areas,” he said.
In related development, the new 1,000,000 litres Mutundwe reservoir when complete will improve supply to Mutundwe Hill, Kirinyabigo, Nakawuka and the surrounding areas. The work on reservoir is going on well.
