Kawempe North MP hopeful Hajjat Hanifah Karadi has said the choice of words of a leader can build or break a nation.
“The choice of words of a leader build or break a nation. I caution leaders against the current urge for hateful vocabulary that promotes antagonism, divisionism, gangism such as (okuyisamu egaali),” she said.
She said such actions are likely to build a criminal generation/society that will ruthlessly turn on its people and its own leaders who created them.
“My principal is “Ngyakuzimba obuwagizi bwa team Hanifah Karadi, so si kuzimba gaali” ( rather safer to build a supportive base than a supportive gang,” she added.
Hajjat Hanifah Karadi is set to contest again for Kawempe North MP seat in 2026. She is already on the ground mobilizing for support ahead of the battle.
