Former Kawempe North MP contestant Hajjat Hanifah Karadi has called on the people of Kawempe North to embrace hard work if they are to get out of poverty.
While sharing on her social media platforms, Hon. Hanifah Karadi said advised people to leverage the resources they have so as to increase their income and reject poverty adding that sustainable development starts with an individual.

Politician and humanitarian Hon. Hajjat Hanifah Karadi has urged the people of Kawempe Division to choose wisely and keep peace in the upcoming LC1 elections. Speaking at the Security Address by Kawempe Division Deputy RCC, Lukka Kagenyi, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi advised people of Kawempe Division to choose able leaders who will foster development in the area.
“Kawempe Division is developing rapidly and we need to elect leaders who will maintain the speed. We need leaders who have at least attained some form of education and are able to write and read a letter,” Hanifah Karadi said.

In related development, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi has hit out at Kawempe North MP Hon. Luyimbazi Erias Nalukoola for concentrating more on his lawyer work than representing the people of Kawempe North. “It is even a pity that even Kawempe North MP, instead of working for the people, he is busy doing business as a lawyer and eating tax payers salary just”.
Former Kawempe North MP aspirant and humanitarian Hon. Hajjat Hanifah Karadi has been awarded a certificate of developing countries course in China Hunan province where she represented Uganda in 2019 among other 7 developing countries.
This course equipped her with Mindset change on many things,Use of available resources to develop, The unknown power of Patriotism, Clean Combustion technology ( alternative energies) ie Bio-thermal energy, Wind Energy, solar etc.
Reason she is transferring all this knowledge to Uganda. She has been applauded for loving her country Uganda with one heart.

Former Kawempe North MP contestant, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi, has called on all NRM contestants who lost in the last elections to join the winners and work together for the sake of development of the country. Speaking in Kawempe at a victory party of one of the candidates, Karadi said there is no need for animosity because it will not help in terms of the agenda which is development.
“I am appealing to every member of the party to ease my work of ensuring the party members are together through reconciliation and forgiveness as the starting point to make our party stronger in Kawempe. Let us always aim at adding to our party not subtracting from it. I will be more than happy if everyone goes by Hajati Karadi’s call. Let us build a party of togetherness and solidarity,”.

“We can’t have two winners, so if you lost this term, join the one who won and work together, next term you never know. If we fight, we will kill the party, let us work together and achieve a common goal which is development,” Hajjat Hanifah Karadi said.
The Commander of Team Nkuyege which was on the ground mobilizing support for NRM’s Presidential candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi, has lauded women for overwhelmingly voting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the just concluded Presidential elections.
Speaking in the aftermath of the exercise, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi said she was happy that women did great job and supported the president who earned a 7th term in office 2026-2031.
She called on them to keep supporting NRM and protecting the gains the NRM Government has achieved.
During the campaigns, Hajjat Hanifah Karadi founded Team Nkuyege which moved all the corners of Kampala showing the Gains of the NRM Government on a projector that should be protected.
Kampala: As Uganda gears up for the 2026 elections, political tensions are rising, with new accusations surfacing from the Kawempe North political battleground. Hon. Faridah Nambi, a well-known NRM aspirant and former rival in the Kawempe North by-election, has accused opposition figure Hon. Elias Nalukoola of using the youth empowerment program Apex Digital Skills as a political tool to sway voters.
Nambi claims that rather than focusing purely on empowering young Ugandans with digital literacy and entrepreneurial skills, Nalukoola is strategically associating himself with Apex Digital Skills to build political capital. “This is no longer just about youth development. It’s clear that Mr. Nalukoola wants to use Apex Digital Skills as a campaign platform to influence young voters ahead of the elections,” Nambi said during a recent interview.

Founded in 2025 by entrepreneur and youth advocate Nyanzi Martin Luther, Apex Digital Skills has been widely praised for equipping youth with vital digital skills in an increasingly technology-driven economy. The program focuses on training, mentorship, and support for young entrepreneurs, aiming to reduce unemployment and build a generation ready for the digital future.
In response to the criticism, Elias Nalukoola has publicly promised to invest more resources into Apex Digital Skills if re-elected in 2026. He says his goal is to expand training programs, increase access to technology for marginalized youth, and create partnerships with private sector players to foster innovation and job creation. “I am committed to empowering the youth through skills development. Apex Digital Skills is not just a platform for learning but a pathway to economic independence,” Nalukoola stated during a recent campaign rally.

However, Nambi’s allegations have sparked debate about the fine line between genuine development initiatives and political posturing. Critics argue that using youth programs for electoral gain risks politicizing critical development efforts and may undermine their credibility. “Youth empowerment programs should transcend party politics. When politicians start to exploit them for votes, it compromises the integrity of the entire sector,” political analyst Samuel Kato told this reporter.
Supporters of Nalukoola have dismissed the claims as politically motivated attempts to tarnish his reputation. “Elias Nalukoola’s work with Apex Digital Skills is about empowering youth and creating opportunities. The timing of these accusations suggests desperation from political opponents,” said one close ally.

As Uganda approaches a critical election cycle, the debate over the politicization of youth programs like Apex Digital Skills raises important questions about the future of development and governance. Will these initiatives remain genuine efforts to uplift young people, or will they be reduced to mere instruments of political ambition?
