Kampala: Gen. Salim Saleh has urged the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) to build on its core public-service mandate by expanding its community impact, pressing its leadership to integrate value addition and inclusive development into its broader operations.
Gen. Saleh, coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation, met with NWSC Managing Director Eng. Dr. Silver Mugisha on Thursday. Also present was Mr. Paul Turyamureeba Kahigi, the corporation’s senior manager for environment and social safeguards.
Gen. Saleh, a senior adviser to President Yoweri Museveni, told Dr. Mugisha that institutional leaders should champion value addition and demonstrate how it can drive lasting community development, framing crop production and processing as vital levers for economic transformation.
