The Minster for ICT and National Guidance Hon. Frank Kagyigyi Tumwebaze has urged the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) to consider including Ankole Long horned cattle as a package for boosting tourism.
The Minister said this on his social media as he visited his farm of Ankole cows during the festive season. The Minister boasts of hundreds of the above breed at his upcountry farm. He said the cows are not only envied for high grade meat and milk but can also act as a good tourism resource if UTB includes them on the list.
“Taking off time these holidays to graze cows. The Ankole cows are not only envied for their high grade milk and meat content, but also for their beauty. Certainly they are a good tourism resource that #UTB ought to include on their list of domestic tourism packages for the visitors. That way, preserving the Ankole cattle will be rewarding,” Frank Tumwebaze said.
