Frank K Tumwebaze launches new school infrastructure in Kibale
The Minister for ICT Hon. Frank Tumwebaze yesterday launched new structures at Kasorora Primary School in Kibale County, Kamwenge district.
The Minister who also doubles as the area MP launched the project his tour of the constituency which he started on 31st December 2016.
He said he was honored to launch the new structures/buildings of Kasorora Primary School, a community school in my constituency.
The new buildings were largely funded by Building Tomorrow UG an NGO with international donors that support community schools.
“As the area MP, I presented our request to this NGO and worked with the community to raise our contribution of all building local materials. I thank the Partners (Building Tomorrow) for choosing to direct their services to the rural under-served communities. They have supported many other deserving rural community schools – (over 50 schools) in the whole country. I greatly thank them and their partners,” Frank said.
“I have concluded my constituency outreach programme of #Barazas in all the 5 sub counties of my constituency- Kibale East- Kamwenge district. At each of the baraza session; the sub county leadership, district leadership, Central government agencies and MPs would report on their various achievements and planned activities. Thereafter, a detailed plenary would be opened. It has been good feedback got and it will inform the work of the various actors. Barazas are the best tools in fighting and prevent corruption. Feedback from the beneficiary communities can help to detect defects in real time and enable corrective measures to be taken. I thank God to have got time in this period to attend to this noble programme,” Frank posted on his wall.

In a related development, Frank K Tumwebaze was joined by Hon Eng.Curthbert Abigaba and the two inspected an obstacle crossing at River Mpanga.
“The crossing connects our constituencies Kibale County and Kibale East County and provides a short connection for easy movement of people and their produce/goods. We have agreed to jointly raise funds to put up a temporally bridge as we pursue ministry of works for a permanent concrete or steel bridge as the designs will find appropriate and recommend,” Frank said.
