Namisindwa District Woman MP, Hon. Khalayi Peace, yesterday raised two urgent matters affecting the people of Namisindwa District on the floor of Parliament, urging government to quickly take action.
First, she called on Government to prioritize the establishment of a Health Centre IV in Namisindwa District to improve access to quality healthcare services for the people of Namisindwa District.
Secondly, she brought to the attention of Parliament the alarming situation of visible land cracks in the upper five sub-counties, placing residents in nearly 500 villages at risk of devastating landslides and causing constant fear among affected communities.
She appreciated the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister for assuring Parliament that Government will move with urgency to address both concerns through the relevant ministries and agencies.
Hon. Khalayi Peace has said she remain committed to being a strong voice for the people of Namisindwa and will continue to follow up on such matters.
