On behalf of Council for Abavandimwe, Chairman Mr. Frank Gashumba has extended their sincere appreciation to His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
In a length statement, Frank Gashumba said when the whole world abandoned them, and many had forgotten about them, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni stood with them.
“Through your decisive action, you issued an Executive Order as a solution to gross violation of our people’s citizenship rights. Your issuing of an Executive order wiped the tears off the faces of our people who had been rendered stateless. For that, we are eternally grateful. Furthermore, we can’t fail to thank you for appointing Hon. Juma Witonze to the docket of state minister for Internal Affairs, the very government Ministry where our people were being discriminated against. You demonstrated true Pan-Africanism, leadership, love, and commitment to inclusion. For this act of justice and recognition, we shall forever be grateful,” Frank Gashumba said.
