    RE: HEART-FELT HAPPY 82-YEAR BIRTHDAY WISHES FROM ABAVANDIMWE TO H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

    The Chairman Council for Abavandimwe in Uganda Mr. Frank Gashumba has shared a heartfelt birthday message from the council to His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as he clocks 82 years. Below is the full message;

    Your Excellency, Our beloved Ssabalwanyi, Intwari yacu, Our Father of the Nation,

    On this historic occasion of your 82nd birthday, we, the Abavandimwe, kneel in profound gratitude and join the entire nation in celebrating a life that God has used to redeem Uganda.

    We thank you most sincerely for championing the revival of the East African Community. Your Pan-African vision has restored our dream of a united East Africa, a united Africa, where our people can trade, live and work as brothers. You are the true Mwalimu of our integration.

    And to us, the Abavandimwe, words cannot express our debt of gratitude. For decades we lived in the shadows of our own country, questioned, doubted, stripped of our identity and treated as strangers in the land of our birth. Your Excellency, you restored our dignity. You restored our citizenship rights. You looked at us not as Banyarwanda, but as Ugandans, as your children. You reminded Uganda that we belong. You gave us back our rights, our names, our voice, and our rightful place at the national table. History will never forget you
    for this act of justice and true statesmanship.

    As you turn 82, we pray the Almighty God grants you more years, more strength and more wisdom to continue leading Uganda and Africa to greatness.

    On behalf of all Abavandimwe, we pledge our undying, unshakeable and total dedication to supporting your leadership, your vision, and your mission for a united, peaceful and transformed Uganda.

    Happy 82nd Birthday, Mzee. We love you. We are with you, today and always.

    WANGAALA, ERA GENDA MU MAASO OTUGYE WALA.
    Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
