Rob Lee former Newcastle captain and England ex international will arrive in the country on Monday morning with together Mark Ellis the agent of Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere. The two are here to attend the International Children’s Climate Change Conference organized by Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green of Joseph Masembe due on 22nd April at Kampala Sheraton Hotel as well as to conduct two sporting clinics with youngsters.Rob Lee will arrive in Uganda on Monday
The two are also in the country as partners of Jack Pemba, the owner of Sports Africa Uganda Limited. In a press release to www.showbizuganda.com reads; We are partners of Jack Pemba the owner of Sports Africa Uganda Limited and signed a cooperation contract and partnership at Emirates stadium in London with an objective of football development in Uganda.
Arriving in Uganda to open talks with officials to bring the opportunity for football related activities into the country in order to make Uganda the first country in Eastern Central Africa to forehead football in Africa. We will be also participating in the opening of International Children’s Climate Change Conference on 22nd of April 2015 at Kampala Sheraton Hotel. The proposed projects includes; opening an international football academy with affiliation of English Premier League club in Uganda. Mark Ellis has been working with Arsenal Football Club over a number of years and assisted the set up of Arsenal international soccer schools. The academy will be first of its kind in Africa and have potential to provide footballing education and career progression for young talented African players.
The other project is, in order to raise the profile of Uganda in international football world, also to organise a pre-season tour of an English premier league club in Uganda for summer 2016. In our delegation we have Rob Lee the retired professional football player of Newcastle United, and he will be inspecting facilities and advising the officials about the project. We will be also hosting coaching clinics for young boys and for the coaches in Uganda for the development of football.
Mark Ellis will coordinate a coaching clinic for young player during the conference on 22nd April 2015. Mark Ellis has been involved in number of top European clubs including Arsenal FC, PSG in France and Barcelona in Spain as he has qualifications for football education of coach of the coaches. He would like to hold meetings with Ugandan Football Coaches Association, Uganda National Sports Council and other Football related organisations.
