Sexy actress Faridah Kutesa aka Farshee has continued her fine form in the Ugandan movie industry by scooping a second award in a row.

Faridah was over the weekend announced as the winner of Best actress in Uganda Film Festival awards for her role in the film ‘House Arrest’. This is the year in a row she is scooping the award. “I feel so great, I mean its not so easy feel so excited,” she said.

AWARD WINNERS OF THE 2015 UGANDA FILM FESTIVAL

Leonce Ngabo (Burundi),

Barbel Mauch (Germany),

Faustin Misanvu (Uganda),

Dr. Dominic Dipio (Uganda)

Femi Odugbemi (Nigeria), (Chairman)

convened 25th -27th August 2015 in Kampala, Uganda to determine winners in the various categories of the nominations list announced several weeks ago.

After a rigorous review and professional consideration of the cinematic merits of these nominated films and the strategic objectives of the Uganda Film Festival the jury came to a unanimous decision and are delighted to announce the following winners in each category:

BEST STUDENT FILM:

Winner: “AFRICAN CHILD”

BEST SHORT FILM:

Winner: “WALK WITH ME”

BEST ANIMATION FILM:

Winner:”CHIMP BODA”

BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM:

Winner: “HALF A DOLLAR”

The jury congratulates the winners and are pleased to note the remarkable progress and quality of Ugandan productions especially in areas of storytelling, casting, performance, visual aesthetics, cinematic values, sound and music.

We are especially delighted to note the subtle nuances of cultural representation and the patriotism reflected in the works of Ugandan filmmakers.
