“Bebe Cool doesn’t work for Ministry of Health or Police, stop spreading lies” – Zuena Kirema
Singer Bebe Cool’s wife Zuena Kirema has called on people to stop spreading lies in the wake of charges against Nigerian singer Omah Lay in Kampala.
Zuena has said her hubby singer has nothing to do with the arrest and charging of the Nigerian star who was the guest performer at an ‘illegal’ show at Ddungu Resort Munyonyo.
She said her hubby doesn’t work with the Ministry of Health or Uganda Police and that he shouldn’t be involved into all this.
Omah was arrested after he performed at a concert deemed illegal and contravenes the current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to stop the spread of COVID-19. Music concerts remain banned in Uganda due to the deadly pandemic.
“Can you people stop spreading lies, does Bebe Cool work in the ministry of health or the police,” Zuena tweeted.
The Nigerian trio of Stanley Omah Didia alias Omah Lay, Temilade Openyi alias Tems and Muyiwa Awomiyi and 6 other Ugandans have been charged in Makindye Court with negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act. The earlier plans of releasing them on police bond, were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of the DPP. All remanded till Wednesday 16.12.2020.
