Ggwanga Mujje Boston Chapter Consultative Meeting and fundraising drive was held to support Kabaka foundation and Nnabagereka Development Foundation (NDF) especially in promoting health care among Kabaka’s subjects. The meeting was held on Saturday at St. Margrets Hall in Burlington City of Massachusetts.
Money collected is to help cater for doctors who are travelling soon to Uganda from the USA to treat people in Uganda.
The Bostonians were addressed by the Kabaka’s representative in Massachusetts Kato B. Kajuubi who urged them to be at the fire front of the supporting all the initiative through Buganda Bumu which heads all the Buganda group organisations in the Diaspora like Ggwanga Mujje, Agaali away and many others.
The President of Ggwanga Mujje Boston Chapter’s Fred Katende thanked them for making sure them for registering in big numbers with the Ggwanga Mujje insurance and urged them to tell others to come on board.
Emmanuel Wasswa Kivumbi called on all Bostonians to ensure they register for Buganda Bumu convention in Atlanta to be able to support initiatives like that of Kabaka Foundation and the Nnabagereka Foundation starting with health care among other things.
Steven Wasswa Mukasa headed the fundraising drive with the Katikiro Peter Mayiga’s slogan ‘Obwerufu’. Deputy Kabaka’s representative Henry Ndawula also attended among other dignitaries.
