

Africell’s free- for- all One Billion handover concert at Nakivubo to feature top artistes

In the last couple of months, Africell has been giving back to its subscribers with cash rewards, and the grand prize of One Billion left for that lucky winner, in the biggest show of the year 2016. The lucky subscriber will walk away with One billion shillings this Saturday in a grand handover concert.

The Africell One Billion concert is set to be an awe-inspiring affair with Africell promising to pull all stops to ensure that their subscribers and other Ugandans have the experience of a lifetime. Uganda’s top artistes, comedians, DJ’s, leading MC’s will perform live at a free-for-all show at Nakivubo Stadium where Africell expects to attract 40,000 fans from Uganda and across the region.
The artistes include; Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Sheebah Karungi, David Lutalo, Winnie Nwagi, Desire plus a host of other local artistes. “Africell is proud to bring to their fans all their leading artistes in Uganda, and at no cost for them. This is undoubtedly the single biggest concert for 2016,” said Milad Khairallah, Africell’s Commercial Director.
In a totally unprecedented move, Africell at the start of December decided they would make one lucky subscriber a billionaire! This reward is also is also the biggest cash prize to ever be given out to a single individual, by a corporate company in Uganda. Another 100 subscribers also won 500,000 each in daily draws across the country.
Africell further made entry into the promotion the easiest. All one had to do to participate in the promotion, was to recharge their Africell lines with 500 shillings or more for a chance to enter the draw.

“This One Billion promotion was crafted to give back to our subscribers who over the years have made us the number one telecom. We have always given our customers the best from our network including the cheapest call rate of just One shilling per second, to the most affordable data and voice bundles in the market. I believe the Billion shillings free concert is an opportunity for Africell to take entertainment to a whole new level. Africell has also in the past supported leading artists with brand ambassador roles including Mun G, Sheebah and David Lutalo. The One Billion Concert will climax with one subscriber walking away with one billion shillings in cash.
