Loaded tycoon denies fraud accusations
Uganda Police has revealed that they have not received a warrant of arrest for the city tycoon Sulamain Kabangala Mbuga aka SK Mbuga over alleged fraud in Sweden. The tycoon alongside his close friend are accused of defrauding a Swedish politician Sten Heinsoo,71, of money worth SEK 53 million approximately UGX 23bn promising to sell him a gold field.
Interpol Police Uganda Public Relations Officer SP Vincent Ssekate said Uganda Police has not received any complaint or warrant of arrest. “We are just reading it on the media like you are doing,” he added
Uganda Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima has also told this website that Police has not received any formal communication or warrant of arrest regarding the case.
SK Mbuga has denied any involvement in the said fraud so is his close friend. When asked about the deal, SK Mbuga said he is not aware of what they are talking about. “Are they talking about me or someone else,” he asked.
