Ugandan man escapes to Canada after gay allegations

Police in Kampala and Gulu are hunting for Mr. Wilson Madera Lubega on allegations of homosexual which is against the law in the country.

Lubega who hails from Kalungu Masaka was bumped into by police while making love with a fellow man Moses Kisseka after a drunken night out in Gulu.

It is at this time that they were arrested and caged at Patiko Police Post in Gulu as the mob threatened to burn them to ashes.

Lubega, 33, and his lover Moses Kisseka managed to get police bails as police was still investigating the matter.

It is at this time that Lubega used the chance and acquired a visa to Canada. He got the visa in June 2023 and secretly left the country on 6th October 2023.

He is allegedly to have arrived in Canada on 7th October and he is currently hiding in their seeking asylum.

Lubega started as a mechanic cleaner in Kampala before slowly learning mechanical skills. It is from this that he got oriented to same sex situation which never left his mind up to now.

He has been quizzed by Police on several occasions although he denied it on all.

Both Lubega and Moses are still on the Police wanted list and search is ongoing.
