Uganda records fresh 15 new cases of COVID-19

The Ministry of Health last night confirmed 15 new cases of COVID-19 caused by Coronavirus bringing the total in the country to 175.

The 12 new cases are truck drivers: 10 arrived via Elegu, 2 arrived via Busia and Malaba respectively while 3 cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers.

All contacts were under quarantine at the time of test.

23 positive foreign truck drivers handed over to their country of origin.

The COVID-19 total recoveries stands at 68.

Samples from Points of Entry tested today: 1,248. Samples from community and contacts: 858. Total samples tested yesterday: 2,106
